My AEG integrated microwave is not heating food. It was working perfectly well today, but now suddenly fails to heat. The light and timer work. What is your advice?

Does it sound the same as it has when it was working or does it make any strange noises or run with no noise as the timer counts down?

It does sound the same. And the timer runs as normal. The model is: AEG MC2664E-M. Please help, I need my dinner...

If it sounds the same and is not heating at all, the magnetron has failed. This is not something you will be able to fix tonight. This is also a high voltage repair, it can be dangerous to complete. Are you familiar with electricity and comfortable with that?

I am aware that this was a possible cause. How long would it take for a professional to fix this? Or should I talk to the vendor (***** *****) or the manufacturer?

Usually, the part takes about a week to get, so if you can get someone out right away, you will be down for about 10-12 days. You may want to invest in a small counter top model for the time it is down, they are pretty inexpensive if you get a very basic, low end model.
