Welcome to JustAnswer. If your boiler has a standing pilot, check to see if soot has built up to the point that it's blocking the gas orifice. If it has, you can usually clean it off by straying the pilot assembly with a solvent spray, such as starting fluid or brake cleaner. If you use flammable fluid, be certain there's no ignition devices nearby, and provide good ventilation.
