My oven will not switch on. The cooker is switched on and the selector knob is at 0 do I need a new switch and how do I go about this.

These are all the numbers etc I can find on the label inside the oven door on R hand side.
The oven control has 3 buttons L hand one does the various functions e.g. oven grill etc middle one if pressed when power goes on should give - - - sign and can also set the clock here R button is for oven temperature.
The gas burners on top are working ok

Hi thanks for all that information. You unfortunately need a new oven control, they are pretty expensive but the price changes quite a bit. There is no soldering it all just plugs into the wire harness;-)

This part is easy to replace if you are handy and have a few basic hand tools. Plus I will assist you if you need me. The best place to get that part is:
