Good afternoon, my name is***** give me a minute to look up your boiler spec.

Expert:  JamesI replied 10 months ago.

F17 on your Glow Worm 18SI Boiler suggests a fault with the power regulator on the boiler.

You may find it useful to print out the list of fault codes for future reference here.

As the boiler is detecting the mains voltage is less than 170V, but your not experiencing other issues with electrical equipment in your property it suggests the power regulator has failed, and you will need a gas safe engineer to attend to replace the part.

If you provide me with your postcode I can recommend a local engineer.

Hopefully you have got back to the question now Andrew?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
is the regulater part of the pcb
aslo have noticed that the flue fan is not running
Expert:  JamesI replied 10 months ago.

Yes it forms part of the PCB, the fan may not operate in a fault state.

Due to the cost of parts (over £100), I would suggest you go for a fixed price repair and protect plan, that way if the fan still doesnt run after the new PCB the fan will also be covered under the plan.

SSE do such a plan for £150, details here.

Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.
