Customer: I have a problem with my Siemens IQ 500 washer dryer it doesn’t dry any more
Assistant: What's the make and model of your washing machine? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: 4 year old Siemens IQ500
Assistant: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: Yes
Assistant: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: December There was the same issue and I called a technician , he came and reset it and it worked fine until yesterday


Can you post the model number please.

If you open the door there will be a sticker on the inside with the model details on it.

Thanks for that.

What you need to do on this is unplug the washer and pull it out from under the unit.

From there you need to remove the metal cover on the top.

There you will see the metal dryer chamber on the top of the washer.

Look to the left hand side of this and there you will see the smll thermostat.

In the middle of this is a red button, Press it and you should hear it click.

If so then its just reset.

Then retry the dryer and fingers crossed this will get the dryer side working again from there.

I did, now I am trying if the dryer works again

Just one thing more, why do you think this happens so often ? Last time in dwcwmber

These trip out due to lack of airflow.

Overloading the dryer is the number one cause for the thermostat to trip out.

But also a blocked condenser can cause this as well. But to clear the condenser its a bit of a strip down as you need to remove the dryer chambers to access this.
