I've got an E4 Error code on my Kenwood Dishwasher KID60B14
JA: Just to clarify, what's the make and model of your dishwasher? And have you run a diagnostic test cycle?
Customer: Kenwood Dishwasher KID60B14.
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: If possible.
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: Just the error code E4comes up.

Welcome to Justanswer … my name is ***** ***** I will help you today!

E4 indicates due to leak anti flood device in the base of appliance is activated.

You will have to unplug the dishwasher and pull it out.

Now tip it backwards by around 45 degrees so excess water drains off completely.

Now check to make sure nothing is clogged and drain hose is clean.

Plug it back and check if the error code appears.

Fingers crossed this should work, let me know how it goes.

Thanks for this Kevin but the dishwasher is a fitted unit. There is no water inside as the dishwasher has been water vacuumed. The drain hose is clean and there is nothing clogging it.

OK, does it have an access panel below the door.

If you do unplug it and take if off.

Remove the water and try it again.

No access panel!!! All the water is out of it though.

OK, I am not talking about the water inside the unit.

The water might have leaked inside the base.

You will have to remove the dishwasher, you can do this by removing the screws from the counter-top.

Make sure to unplug it first.

Now remove the left side panel and then use sponge to clean the base.
