Hello, I have a Rangemaster RMB75HPECGL 75cm 5 Zone Ceramic Hob Black Glass and its safety lock is stuck on and won't turn off
JA: Is your Rangemaster hob gas or electric? How old is it?
Customer: its electric and about 15months old
JA: How long has this been going on with your Rangemaster hob? What have you tried so far?
Customer: just today. I have tried turning it off at the power source and then trying again. but when I hold the lock button nothing happens and I can't turn on any of the rings
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: I don't think so no

Unplug the hob and leave it unplugged for around 50 minutes.

Then turn it back on and touch the key lock button for around 15 seconds.

Hi Kevin,
I disconnected the hob for a couple of hours and then tried again but it hasn't helped.
Any other ideas?

OK try this:

Press and hold the ON/OFF button first for 10 seconds, if the LOCK still appears then press the LOCK button for 10 seconds

no unfortunately that doesn't work. I've tried all sorts of different combinations with the buttons and different amounts of time holding the buttons but still nothing.

OK, unplug it and let it remain unplugged for 10 minutes

Then press and hold the start button and lock button together and simultaneously plug it back while holding these buttons.

Let go after few seconds and see if it works
