Hi,
Could you help please? My oven Siemens HB75AB550B/03 has a door locking mechanism issue. It’s cycling constantly down/up continuously. Oven inoperable.Hope you can help.

Hi, welcome to Just Answer. Sorry to hear you are having appliance trouble, I know how frustrating that can be! My name is Kelly and I look forward to helping you!

One of the switches has failed on the lock assembly. The attached Service Manual will aid with replacing it. The link below is to the part you will need!

Thanks. So you believe replacing this part solves the issue?

Yes, the switches monitor the lock position. If one fails, it will just keep locking and unlocking. :)

The lock apparently only activated/in-use during high temp cleaning cycle, we haven’t used this feature. Door never locked during normal use? What would cause the lock to suddenly activate then develop electrical issue? Seems odd.

Switch failure, if the switches don't signal the control correctly it will keep the lock moving until they both send the proper signal to the control. There may be grease that has gotten into the switch contacts or an electrical failure. It is impossible to know for certain why a switch has failed.

Absolutely my pleasure, thank you!
