When you remove the back cover off inside the oven and try and turn the fan by hand, does it turn?

Is it stiff to turn ?

One of the screws that holds the plate to the oven Otis being difficult to remove is it safe to use releasing oil
Customer: replied 10 days ago.
I mean. Oven is

Yes you can use it, just clean it afterwards.

Watch out for the element when you are doing this as it gets hot quickly.

If you feel the fan vibrates then it is the motor that will need replacement.

And the fan motor is costly repair.

Let me know how it goes.

One of the screws the type removed by an Allen key won’t move. The fan appears to be blowing something out but it’s not hot air.If this is the motor given the age a replacement is indicated

Sorry was away from my desk. So the fan works ?

Do you hear any different sounds from the motor

Yes its better to replace then to spend £200 on 15 year old appliance.

No the motor sounds normal

Earlier you said Fan has stopped working, is it working now ?

How about the heat, is it overheating or not heating ?

Customer: replied 9 days ago.
No the fan seems to push air about but it isn’t hot however the grill works and cercotherm roasts food
I’m getting this info from my wife & it’s been difficult getting the story straight as I was just told the fan doesn’t heat

OK, it is either the fan or the thermostat that will need replacement.

Can you test them with a multimeter for continuity ?
