This answer was rated:

My zanussi washing machine stops working after it has begun to fill the drum with water
JA: How old is your Zanussi washer? Have you checked if the drain hose is clogged?
Customer: It’s 10 years old I haven’t but I can check that
JA: How long has this been going on with your Zanussi washer? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I only have tried re-starting and didn’t work
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: It happened after I had washed a feathers pillow the day earlier So it might be clogging

Can you post the model number please.

I have checked the drain hose and it doesn’t seem to be clogged

Thanks for that.

Lets see what the error code is stored in there.

Turn the dial to any setting apart from the first on the right.

Then press and hold the start button and the button to the left of it.

Keep them both held in and after a few seconds the error code will come up E??

Let me know what code you get.

Also, I was able to get rid of the water that was in the drum by using the drain programme

Ok had a feeling you will get this given the fault you have.

What you will find here is the dryer heater is faulty.

What you need to do is pull the washer out and unplug it.

Then remove the top panel.

There you will see the metal dryer heater box on top running from front to back.

At the very back is the 4 wires to the dryer heater.

Disconnect them and tape them up.

Then retry the washer and that should get the washer working again from there.

Now this will work fine like this. If you dont use the dryer side then you can just leave it like this.

But if you do use the dryer then you will need to replace the dryer heater to get it fully working again from there.

Got it! I don’t use the drier so that would work for me! Let me try what you just said. Thanks a lot!

Sorted then, Just leave the wires taped up out of the way and it should work just fine then.

I am not 100% sure of how the drier heater looks like
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
Would it be ok if I send you a pic?

No probs, Send the picture and i will circle the wires.

Brilliant thank you!

Ive just marked the 4 wires you need to disconnect. Just use a screwdriver to push the wiring plug off.

Hopefully that sorts it for you.
