I have a hotpoint acquarius. It has a constant message

Customer Question

JA: Hi. How can I help?
Customer: I have a hotpoint acquarius. It has a constant message 'empty water' but there is no water in the top unit. There is water in the bottom unit but it's not being pumped to top. How do I fix this?
JA: Can you guesstimate how old your Hotpoint is? And just to clarify, what's the exact model?
Customer: 2 to 3 years. It's TCM580BP(UK)
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: Hopefully it's easy enough to do that!
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: No, that's it thanks.

Welcome to Justanswer … my name is ***** ***** I will help you today!

I’m sorry to hear you're having trouble with your appliance; I know that can be frustrating.

Hopefully, we can get this resolved quickly.

If you ask a follow‑up question and I do not respond immediately, it is because I am temporarily unavailable.

I promise to respond as soon as I return.

Empty water light indicates either the pump if jammed with fluff or faulty.

Unplug the appliance and pull it out.

Then on the rear bottom you will see bulged container.

Open it and remove the hoses attached to it, clean them and blow through them to ensure its not clogged.

Then clean the pump completely and empty the pump reservoir.

Also clean the condenser unit and make sure it is clean as well.

After all this is done, reconnect everything and plug it back.

It should work, let me know how it goes.

If you're satisfied with my assistance, your 5 STAR Rating (from top of this page) at this time is appreciated.

If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask!

You won’t be charged any additional fees.

Thank You!
