Hi, my washing machine won't spin, even when it's empty. The filter is clean. Also, when I set it for a 10 min spin, it changes automatically to a 3 min one, but only spins slowly.
JA: Is your washer top or front loading? How old is it?
Customer: Front loading. it's about 14 years old, I think. I did change the motor a few years back.
JA: How long has this been going on with your washer? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Only now. The first wash was fine, the second came out wet.
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: Don't think so...

It may be that the engine coal is used up. Please check or have it checked.

Engine coal does not cost much. Between 30-45€ the coal costs.

Engine coal?
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
Brushes, maybe?
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
They're fine.
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
OK, I think they're fine.

They're in the engine, left and right.

Ok if they are in order it can still be that the plug or cable is defective or has a loose contact.

Or control causes the error.

How do I find out?
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
Everything else seems to be working fine; it's just that it won't spin. Or at least only very slowly.

Very difficult. You need an electrical measuring device.

But please make a slip of the tongue. Unplug and reconnect the plug and cable. Clean the engine. Clean the collectors on the motor. Here is a photo of cleaning the copper.

But the most mistake is 90% motocarb.

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
I've done the first. The motor is relatively new, so should be fine, I think?

Ok then the controller is defective or tachogenerator on the motor.

Nothing else remains over.

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
Not sure what you mean by 'motocarb' though...
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
OK, I suppose there is not much I can do myself about that?

There's coal in the engine. Here a video instruction unfortunately in German but self-explaining.

There you will see with engine coal.

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
Thanks. When I changed the motor there seemed to be plenty of play on them, so I don't think that's the problem.

Ok then as said cable or control may be defective.

Do you still have questions?

OK. No, thanks for your help!
