The oven rings light ok but the oven will not stay lit no matter how long you hold the ignition button on for.
Assistant: Just to clarify, what's the make and model of the appliance? And has it done this before?
Customer: Make is Servis Model is STG60W......
Assistant: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: Been happening for about 1 month and getting worse but now it has finally refused altogether.
Assistant: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: Depends on the fault

Hi

If the oven lights but then goes out when you let go then this is the FFD (flame failure device) thats faulty.

The FFD picks up the flow of gas so if this fails you get this fault.

To cure this the FFD will need to replaced.

Thanks for your assistance.
What's most cost effective, replacing the FED or the cooker please as wasn't amuch expensive cooker to start with?

It would be better to replace the cooker.

Ive just been looking for the part and this model isnt bringing anything. These cookers are made in Turkey and just badged up Servis for Argos. As Servis went bust 10 years ago, Argos have brought the name so getting parts for these are very hard and can be expensive even though its a cheaper cooker then others.

So rather then a lot of messing the easyer option is to get a new cooker here im afraid.
