lamona induction hob wont switch on thanks
JA: Is your Lamona hob gas or electric? How old is it?
Customer: electric 1 yr old
JA: How long has this been going on with your Lamona hob? What have you tried so far?
Customer: just started tried the on key it goes on and after 10 seconds goes off again
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: red dot above the lock key on and wont go off

Hi

Can you post the model number of the hob please.

Thanks for that.

This sound like its the control lock thats activated. To do this off you need to do as below.

Touch and hold the clock button and the top left ring button together for about 5 seconds or so and see if this turns the lock off and allows you to use it again.

Try that and let me know how it goes.

thamks tried that did not work comes up FF FLASHING RED LIGHT when i do this Thanks

Ok if its flashing F F then just check theres no water on the hob on the touch screen.

But if thats fine then its a fault on the touch control board im afraid.

And in this case the touch control board will need to be replaced to cure this.

As its not the child lock as if it was then it will show L on all 4 rings.

So as you cannot turn it on and its not the key lock and its showing the F F then this is nearly always the touch screen thats faulty on these Beko built hobs.

Just noticed in your first question you say the red light is lit above the lock, Is this still the case?

If so then this is the control lock thats turned on. When you tried it before did you have the hob turned on?

Press the on button.

Then press and hold the clock and the top left ring buttons together again for several seconds and see if this works.

But make sure nothing it on the glass top near the buttons when you do this.
