Siemens induction hob EH6 TM11E. Ehatever I do the child lock keeps appearing
JA: Is your Siemens hob gas or electric? How old is it?
Customer: electric 8 years ish
JA: How long has this been going on with your Siemens hob? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Just started yesterday. I have the original paper manual which suggests 1. Ress the key sign lit up on the hob which turns off the lock but it reappears when you switch on again. 2. Automatic child lock it say hob must be off and then press and hold the key sign - problem here is there is no key sign lit because the hob is oo
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?

OK, unfortunately it is the power board that is faulty and will need replacement.

Try this before you replace it:

Unplug it and then press every key (one at a time).

Then blow compressed air on the controls.

Let it remain unplugged for around 20 minutes then plug it back.

If the problem appears again power board will need replacement.

The cost of repair will be around £250.

Thank you for your prompt response, I am up a mountain, over 70 and self isolating for 12 weeks with no access to compressed air, unless a top end bicycle pump would work
