Appliance Repair Questions? Ask a Technician for Answers ASAP
Welcome to Justanswer … my name is ***** ***** I will help you today!
It seems water has leaked in the base of appliance and activated the anti-flood device.
You will have to unplug the appliance and pull it out.
Then tip it backwards by around 45 degrees so excess water drains off completely.
After this is done, check the drain hose where it connects to house drain and make sure it is not clogged.
Then clean the mesh filter from inside and make sure it is not blocked.
Reconnect everything and plug it back.
Now try it on any program and let me know how it goes.

OK, how about the motor/drain pump that started earlier even before the door was closed ?
OK and you tipped it backwards as well ?
OK,this usually occurs: when the water has leaked in the base of appliance and activates the anti flood device.
However, have already cleaned everything and water is not in base of appliance.
Hence, it can be the door interlock mechanism that is faulty and will need replacement
This is because control detects door is closed (due to faulty lock) and it starts pump.
Are you willing to carry out the repair yourself ?
You have to unplug it and then remove the door, then inside the door is the door lock.
Please check this VIDEO to get an idea on how its done.
If you see the video it tells you how to replace both door handle and door lock.
I think replacing the door interlock should solve the issue.
The part is available here for £29 + repair charges.
So you unplug it and open the door then remove the screws to access door interlock and replace it.
Let me know how it goes.

You may call them if you want.
Do you have any further questions for me today ?
If you are able to access the door interlock from there including its wiring then yes its sufficient.
If not then you have to remove the door and then remove the screws on top of it to replace the door lock.

And the drain pump runs continuously ?
OK, can you check pressure switch on the bottom right ?
It is located towards the right with a thin hose attached to it.
Remove the hose from the pressure switch, blow through it and reconnect it.
If the problem appears again you will have to replace the pressure switch.
You are welcome.
Check this IMAGE
Unfortunately I do not have a schematic to show you.
The pressure switch is located usually towards the bottom right side.
The hose attached to it goes to the sump.
It will appear same as the image might be in different color
At the bottom
Always a pleasure, hopefully it is resolved soon.
OK then, can you check the door interlock mechanism ?
If that is faulty control detects door is closed (even when its open) and will start the pump.
OK, the lock replaced, pressure switch replaced and no water inside the base, the float located at the base is also not stuck in upright position and works fine, correct ?
Hence, only other part that can cause this is the control board.
