Hi,

Welcome to Justanswer … my name is ***** ***** I will help you today!

It seems water has leaked in the base of appliance and activated the anti-flood device.

Try this:

You will have to unplug the appliance and pull it out.

Then tip it backwards by around 45 degrees so excess water drains off completely.

After this is done, check the drain hose where it connects to house drain and make sure it is not clogged.

Then clean the mesh filter from inside and make sure it is not blocked.

Reconnect everything and plug it back.

Now try it on any program and let me know how it goes.

Please DO NOT ACCEPT the PHONE CALL request.

That is auto generated and not sent by me.

Dear Kevin, I did what you requested me to do, but still the same problem exists. When I pour some water into the machine and switch on, I can see the water is being pumped out without any restrictions. This demonstrate that there is no blockage and the pump is pumping out. Please advice.

OK, how about the motor/drain pump that started earlier even before the door was closed ?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It still goes on as soon as I switch on.

OK and you tipped it backwards as well ?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I did.

OK,this usually occurs: when the water has leaked in the base of appliance and activates the anti flood device.

However, have already cleaned everything and water is not in base of appliance.

Hence, it can be the door interlock mechanism that is faulty and will need replacement

This is because control detects door is closed (due to faulty lock) and it starts pump.

Are you willing to carry out the repair yourself ?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Will it be a complicated process. Do i have to remove it from the door front, back of the machine or from bottom?

You have to unplug it and then remove the door, then inside the door is the door lock.

Please check this VIDEO to get an idea on how its done.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Hi Kevin, I watched the Video. Yes, as far as it the top end of the door, I can do it. Please explain how to do. Also what spares I may need?

If you see the video it tells you how to replace both door handle and door lock.

I think replacing the door interlock should solve the issue.

The part is available here for £29 + repair charges.

So you unplug it and open the door then remove the screws to access door interlock and replace it.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks Kevin. Do I have to send the model number and the serial number to place the order?

If you click on the URL above it will direct you to order page and you can place your order.

You may call them if you want.

Do you have any further questions for me today ?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I looked at the door and because this model has the controls inside the door on the top, I can just remove only the top part of the door frame from the inside (after removing the top part of the outer integrated door cover)
I hope that will be sufficient to get to the parts you have mentioned?

If you are able to access the door interlock from there including its wiring then yes its sufficient.

If not then you have to remove the door and then remove the screws on top of it to replace the door lock.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Outer front cover of this integrated machine is in two sections. Hence I can just remove only the top and then remove the top of the actual door cover to access the lock. Thank you for your advice. I do hope this will do the job.

You are very welcome.

Please click on STARS (*****) from top of this page so, we can close this.

Hi Kevin, I did replace the lock with the micro switch but the problem still persists. Please advice

And the drain pump runs continuously ?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
it still runs continuously.

OK, can you check pressure switch on the bottom right ?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Where is the pressure switch located? How can I identify the pressure switch?

It is located towards the right with a thin hose attached to it.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
OK I will check and let you know.

OK.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Good morning Kevin, I guess the pressure switch is on the back of the machine? If I locate this, how can I find out whether this is the problem?

Remove the hose from the pressure switch, blow through it and reconnect it.

If the problem appears again you will have to replace the pressure switch.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Ok, I will try. Thank you

You are welcome.

Let me know how it goes.

I removed the bottom cover of the machine. I couldnt find anything other than a very small white wired unit attached to a container, It has a flexible tube attached to it. Is this the switch, When the machine is on its back,
it is located at the bottom right hand corner? If this is the item, how can I take it out ?

Check this IMAGE

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Thanks for sending it. Only part I saw there is an orange color unit fitted on to the Salt Container but it was stuck from the top ? I was looking for a part similar to what you sent. It is in a different place?

Unfortunately I do not have a schematic to show you.

The pressure switch is located usually towards the bottom right side.

The hose attached to it goes to the sump.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
There was a small unit but it was white cylindrical with a hose attached to it. It wasn't around one.

It will appear same as the image might be in different color

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Hi Kevin, one thing I forgot to ask, is the pressure switch is at the bottom of the machine or it is on top of the machine where all the other parts are or else is it separately in another place?

At the bottom

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Thanks Kevin

Always a pleasure, hopefully it is resolved soon.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Hi Kevin, I tried with a new Pressure switch but still, the defect is there?

OK then, can you check the door interlock mechanism ?

If that is faulty control detects door is closed (even when its open) and will start the pump.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
As you advised earlier, I did change the door lock.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Since my last message, I am still waiting to hear from you. Now I have tried changing the lock and then the return switch. What should I do next ?

OK, the lock replaced, pressure switch replaced and no water inside the base, the float located at the base is also not stuck in upright position and works fine, correct ?

Hence, only other part that can cause this is the control board.
