This answer was rated:

I have a dishwasher DS16TCR that is leaking water at the end of any cycle . It is not the water inlet valve . How do l gain access to the working parts after removing both side panels .Do l have to remove anything else.
JA: How old is your dishwasher? Where does the leak seem to be coming from?
Customer: Possible 20years The water just appears to be from the base area
JA: How long has this been going on with your dishwasher? What have you tried so far?
Customer: 3/4weeks Have removed inlet valve only and all the panels
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: Suspect it might be a pump seal but cannot get access

Hi,

Welcome to Justanswer … my name is ***** ***** I will help you today!

Have you seen any error codes/flashing lights?

If it is leaking from the base, you will have to unplug it and pull it out.

Then remove the side panels and the base panel to access the pump.

That is auto generated and not sent by me.

I have located the water leak to the main pump motor seal .Having gone on the internet for parts it would appear they are no longer available for my model unless you can help .l would require impeller ,and rubber seal . The drive motor is good and operational .

OK, please provide its PNC number

Thanks, ***** ***** is available HERE

However, the manufacturer it seems have discontinued the impellor kit and it is now available as a part of wash pump motor only.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask!

Thanks So it would appear that an impeller is unavailable from any where ,or do you think it is time to replace the machine . The pump motors are listed as discontinued on several sites .

To be honest 20 years old is a good time that you have spent with this washer and got every worth of it.

Most of the parts are discontinued so its a good time to buy new one.
