I have a rangemaster 110 the timer was playing up so bought a new one the right one for the cooker and took a photo of the wiring before replacing but it isn’t working - also now the new one is in place the oven light on left hand oven works but not the t
JA: Is your Rangemaster oven gas or electric? How old is it?
Customer: right hand oven instead the ignition is sparking
JA: How long has this been going on with your Rangemaster oven? What have you tried so far?
Customer: My rangemaster is 20 years old but apart from the timer is working perfectly
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: We have replaced timer but as stated the new one isn’t working

Connections are identical on both clocks, when you swapped them over did the new clock light up at all

No but neither is the old one which did light up before being disconnected and there is the strange thing with the oven light on the left oven working but not the right and when pressed to put light on you are getting the ignition sparking

That clock get’s its power from the mains connection at the back of the oven but on the cable that supplies it there is an overheat thermostat. You’ll find it behind the back panel of the oven attached to the right hand side of the cavity, from what you’ve described it sounds like it is faulty. Once you get to it it can be bypassed temporarily to check.
