HI my name is ***** ***** I am here to help. When you switch the main oven on does the thermostat light or indicator come on?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Light and fan come on. It does start to heat slightly but no more than about 50o
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Should I remove back and check thermostat?
Expert:  David McCready replied 1 year ago.

Ok thank you. If the oven is heating slightly but only slightly it is likely that the thermostat will need to be replaced.

As this is a gas appliance in would be my recommendation that a professional gas qualified engineer completes this repair.

I have already turned off gas main and disconnected oven
Expert:  David McCready replied 1 year ago.

Ok when was the last time you had the oven serviced?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Never been serviced since installed
I have only had to replace light once
Expert:  David McCready replied 1 year ago.

Ok the recommendation is that gas ovens and appliances should be serviced and safety checked once a year.

This can be carried out during the repair of your oven and I would strongly recommend that you appoint a professional.
