The fan in my baumatic oven is not working. Does this mean I need a new fan motor?
JA: Is your oven gas or electric? How old is it?
Customer: It’s electric and is about 15 years old. its a double integrated oven
JA: How long has this been going on with your oven? What have you tried so far?
Customer: About a couple of days. The heating element heats up. You can clearly see it burning got red, but the fan does not switch on.
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: I also need to know where to find the exact model number as I clearly can’t see it. Cause it’s integrated, could this be at the back of the oven?

The fan does not move at all and the heating element clearly comes on as it’s red hot. So I think it’s the fan motor. What do you think?
Yes I am willing to do repair myself.

OK, yes it is the fan motor that is faulty and will need replacement.

There is thermostat located next to the fan motor at the rear, when you replace the motor test it as sometimes that goes faulty as well when motor is faulty.

The part is available for around £30 to £60 (based on the model number) + repair charges.
