After completing a cycle yesterday, there's still about an inch of water left in the bottom of the dishwater . How to clear and what caused this ?
JA: What's the brand and model of your appliance? How old is it?
Customer: It is a Hotpoint BF1620 and is 11years old .
JA: How long has this been going on with your Hotpoint appliance? What have you tried so far?
Customer: This is the first time ;what can I do (apart from use a lot of towels to mop up ?

OK, something might be clogged causing this issue.

Please try this:

You will have to unplug the appliance and pull it out.

Keep some beach towels handy.

Then tip it backwards by around 45 degrees so excess water drains off completely.

After this is done, check the drain hose where it connects to house drain and make sure it is not clogged.

Then clean the mesh filter from inside and make sure it is not blocked.

Reconnect everything and plug it back.

Select any program and let me know how it goes.
