Hi,

Welcome to Justanswer … my name is ***** ***** I will help you today!

Error 20 on your dishwasher indicates water is unable to drain.

Try this:

You will have to unplug the appliance and pull it out.

Then tip it backwards by around 45 degrees so excess water drains off completely.

After this is done, check the drain hose where it connects to house drain and make sure it is not clogged.

Then clean the mesh filter from inside and make sure it is not blocked.

Reconnect everything and plug it back.

It should work however, if the problem occurs again let me know.

Please DO NOT ACCEPT the PHONE CALL request.

That is auto generated and not sent by me.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask!

The machine is built in so I can’t pull it out

OK then you can unplug it and remove the plinth (base panel below the door) of the appliance.

You will see a plastic cover and there is a metal cover.

Remove this and then you can try and soak the water up from the base there.

After this is done, check the drain hose where it connects to house drain and make sure it is not clogged.

Then clean the mesh filter from inside and make sure it is not blocked.

Reconnect everything and plug it back.

Let me know how it goes.

We have taken off the metal cover to reveal the outside of a plastic sump There is a 2cm diam hose connected to the sump with a metal clip Do I disconnect this?

Can you answer our comments please

Sorry as its weekend so I am not always available.

If you ask a follow‑up question and I do not respond immediately, it is because I am temporarily unavailable.

I promise to respond as soon as I return.

Yes if you can reconnect it back then please remove it and clean the appliance as much as you can.

Then reconnect everything and let me know how it goes.

The 2cm diam hose was empty and clean and water flowed freely end to end I have reconnected and it seems to be working normally so far with no alarm signals

Excellent, please let me know how it goes.
