My Siemens dishwasher IQ300 is showing E15 under the “ready in..mi.” Part of machine and the picture of the tap is lit up too. Could I book a repair visit please?
JA: What happened just before your Siemens dishwasher displayed this message?
Customer: I think it completed its normal cycle. The dishes were clean and dry
JA: How long has this been going on with your Siemens dishwasher? What have you tried so far?
Customer: It started on Saturday night after normal wash. We’ve just turned it off at the mains plug. We don’t know what else to do
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: No, it’s been working well and I clean filters regularly

Model number of dishwasher is SN 26M253GB/44

Thanks for that.

E15 in your dishwasher indicates water has leaked in the base of appliance and activated the anti-flood device.

You will have to unplug the appliance and pull it out.

Then tip it backwards by around 45 degrees so excess water drains off completely.

After this is done, check the drain hose where it connects to house drain and make sure it is not clogged.

Then clean the mesh filter from inside and make sure it is not blocked.

Reconnect everything and plug it back.

It should work however, if the problem occurs again you will have to check what is causing the leak.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask!

Thanks Kevin. I hoped this would be covered by my insurance for dishwasher. It will be too difficult for me to move and deal with so will obviously have to get a plumber to visit
