Customer Question

I have a bush wv9-6w slimline dishwasher which wasn't heating. I have replaced the inline water heater. When I turn it on it show error E1. At the start of any cycle, the machine emotes as normal and then fills (have checked there is water in it) and then emotes again and repeats this cycle before showing error code E1
JA: What happened just before your dishwasher displayed this message?
Customer: it just filled and emptied about three or four times
JA: How long has this been going on with your dishwasher? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I have changed the heater as it was not heating. This is a new issue since changing the heater
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?

Hi,

Welcome to Justanswer … my name is ***** ***** I will help you today!

I am sorry to hear you are having trouble with your appliance.

Hopefully, we can get this resolved quickly.

E1 is low water pressure error code.

If water inlet is open then clean the hose and try again.

Please DO NOT ACCEPT the PHONE CALL request.

That is auto generated and not sent by me.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask!

I have done that, it is filling with water fine. Before I changed the heater it filled and worked fine but would not heat
Expert:  KevinWhiteJA replied 19 days ago.

OK then try this:

You will have to unplug the appliance and pull it out.

Then tip it backwards by around 45 degrees so excess water drains off completely.

After this is done, check the drain hose where it connects to house drain and make sure it is not clogged.

Then clean the mesh filter from inside and make sure it is not blocked.

Reconnect everything and plug it back.

Let me know how it goes.

Customer: replied 19 days ago.
Where is the mesh filter? The machine has been draining well as I can see it flowing into the outside drain
Expert:  KevinWhiteJA replied 19 days ago.

Inside the appliance.

Have you tried the above advise ?

Customer: replied 19 days ago.
The mesh filter is fine. I will check the above later this afternoon. Thanks so far
Expert:  KevinWhiteJA replied 19 days ago.

You are welcome.

After this if still it wont work and you get same error then it is the pressure switch that is faulty and will need replacement.

You may try to fill it manually and see if it works.

If it does then pressure switch is clogged or faulty.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask!

It is filling up fine as I can see water inside which it then pumps out and fills again. Does that about 4 times then shows the error code
Expert:  KevinWhiteJA replied 19 days ago.

Ok and have you checked the pressure switch ?

It is the one with thin hose attached to it?

Customer: replied 19 days ago.
Where would I find that?
Customer: replied 19 days ago.
I think I have found it. It joins into where the pump is
Customer: replied 19 days ago.
I used a bike pump and it was blocked and then went pop. Just filled it up and has overflowed all I guess the pope has come off at the other end. I can’t seem to find where the other end is
Customer: replied 19 days ago.
I assume this is the other end of the pipe which I found behind the side panel. Can’t see where it connect though
Customer: replied 19 days ago.
This is from higher up
Customer: replied 19 days ago.
Reconnected the pressure tube now after blowing back the other way with no apparent blockages. Started a 30 min cycle and it drains then fills, I can hear the water going in and then empties and fills and empties and so on and then finally comes up with error code E1 as it drains for the last time and then stops
Customer: replied 19 days ago.
Before I replaced the inline heater I ran it and it went through the full cycle with no errors and it washed, but didn’t heat. All I did was replace the heat pump and touched nothing else.
Expert:  KevinWhiteJA replied 18 days ago.

Can you test the pressure switch with a multimeter ?

or can you try to bypass the pressure switch and see how it goes ?

Customer: replied 18 days ago.
I have actually blown into the pressure tube which runs to the switch while it is filling and as soon as I do it instantly starts to drain
Customer: replied 18 days ago.
the switch appears to be working
Expert:  KevinWhiteJA replied 18 days ago.

OK can you test the inlet valve ?

Customer: replied 18 days ago.
I don’t have a multi meter. How can I test that? I assume the inlet valve is the unit immediately after the inlet pipe enters the machine?
Customer: replied 18 days ago.
Would you be able to call me?
Expert:  KevinWhiteJA replied 18 days ago.

Yes that is correct.

I am afraid I am not available for phone calls today.

Customer: replied 18 days ago.
how would I test without a multimeter?
Expert:  KevinWhiteJA replied 18 days ago.

If you cannot test it then replace it as that is what error code suggests is faulty.
