My Zanussi had a big leak from the front door on the middle

This answer was rated:

My Zanussi had a big leak from the front door on the middle of a cycle
JA: Do you know the model of your Zanussi? How old is it?
Customer: Just over 2 years old. Aquacycle1300
JA: How long has this been going on with your Zanussi appliance? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Just this afternoon out of the blue. I've paused the cycle. The leak then stopped coming out of the front door. Pulled out the back . Doesn't look set or like it's leaking at the back Looked under the sink. No leak there
JA: How long has this been going on with your Zanussi sink? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Please see my answers above
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: That's it. Am I speaking to a person?

Please help with my question

OK that is type of appliance, the model number starts with Z ...

Have you opened the door and checked the door seal ?

Customer: replied 11 days ago.
I can't because my machine had a leak today. I had to pause the wash. If I open the door the water will flood out

OK, what happens if you select a rinse/spin only program ?

If you cannot provide the model number, is it possible to attach an image of the control ?

Customer: replied 11 days ago.
I don't know as I'm scared that will cause it to leak again
Customer: replied 11 days ago.
Not sure how to attach a photo on this chat?

I understand, you may use some beach towels and try again.

If you do not want to do that then unplug the appliance and drain the water from drain hose into a bucket.

If you are on a computer, use the blue document with up arrow symbol by the SEND to load Images/Photos/Pictures.

You have to write a word in the message box like "Pic 1"

then choose only ONE picture then send.

It will not let you do several at once.

Should I try rinse, spin or drain?

Drain

Customer: replied 11 days ago.
I'll try that first.

OK

Customer: replied 11 days ago.
How strange. It only deemed to drain for a minute or 2. No leaks anywhere. The buttons flashed telling me it had ended. I've opened the door. No leaking

OK now as the door is open, can you provide its model number and inspect the door seal ?

Customer: replied 11 days ago.
it's ZWC1301. The seal seems ok but actually a small toggle had detached from some trousers. That was hanging right in the front as I opened the door. Maybe that got caught in the deal and made room for a leak?

Ah okay, can you try a empty short wash cycle and see how it goes ?

If that caught in there and caused this issue then it will not leak again.

If it leaks then let me know.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask!

I hope you have a great day.

It has been my pleasure to assist you!

That's been so helpful. Thanks so much for your advice. I really appreciate it.
I won't be charged £16 for a phone call, will I? Because we sorted it out by Chat ?

Yes, I believe that will be sent back as I have not accepted the phone call.

I am glad, I could help.

You're welcome and Good Luck.
