OK have tried switching off for a period in hope it might reset but no success

Sorry was away for few minutes. This is kind of common fault in these Kenwood refrigerators. The wiring harness between the door and the body of the appliance gets wrapped/broken which leads to this buzzing sound. The control detects that door is not closed due to broken wiring hence, you get constant buzzing. Please check the IMAGE attached.
