the programme will not move on from 1. After 40 minutes i open the machine and the soap is still in the container. All that has happened is that the machine has rinsed the dishes. The water IS draining away OK
JA: What's the brand and model of your dishwasher? How old is it?
Customer: essential CDW60W16 FROM CURRYS. Age one year
JA: How long has this been going on with your dishwasher? What have you tried so far?
Customer: For the last 4 days. Have cleaned out filters (they were clean anyway) Tried pressing buttons differently but no result
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?

OK, please try this:

You will have to unplug the appliance and pull it out, then tip it backwards by around 45 degrees so excess water drains off completely.

After you have done this, check the drain hose where it connects to house drain and make sure it is not clogged.

Then please clean the mesh filter from inside and make sure it is not blocked.

Now, reconnect everything and plug it back; select any program.
