We have a Bosch Vario Perfect washing machine which stopped

We have a Bosch Vario Perfect washing machine which stopped in mid cycle and has not drained.When switched off and on again whichever program it it set on the display shows a key(normally door locked), 40,Yes,1400.Can you offer any advice .Unfortunately we have lost the manual which came with the machine, Gordon Munro
JA: How old is your Bosch washer? Have you checked if the drain hose is clogged?
Customer: Thanks.The machine is just over 8 years old and no I have not checked the drain hose which I can go and do now. I assume the hose is at the rear of the machine and I believe is plummed into the same drain as the sink next to it
JA: How long has this been going on with your Bosch washer? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Just happened for the first time ever. Have not tried anything as I DON'T HAVE THE MANUAK

Good afternoon,

My name is ***** ***** I will assist you with your appliance today.

I am sorry to hear you are having trouble with your appliance.

I understand how frustrating that can be.

Please try this:

You will have to unplug the appliance and remove the bottom front flap.

Then keep some beach towels and shallow container under the filter.

Now, rotate the drain pump filter anti clockwise to open, clean it completely and make sure it is not clogged.

Also with your fingers check if impellor rotates, then reconnect everything and plug it back.

Press and hold the START button for around 10 seconds to unlock the control.

Then try any program and please let me know how it goes.
