JA: Do you know the model of your Bosch dishwasher? How old is it?
Customer: Model 15j1b. Might be 15 or 16 years old. The tap is lit up on display panel.
JA: How long has this been going on with your Bosch dishwasher? What have you tried so far?
Customer: took out filter and checked nothing was stuck in waste pipe
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: the machine is not draining and put in finish dishwasher cleaner and I think the machine is not heating up because the top bit did not melt to let product out

I understand how frustrating that can be.

The tap light indicates water has leaked in the base of appliance and activated the anti-flood device or the aquastop is not working.

You may unplug it and remove the plinth (base panel below the door) of the appliance.

You will see a white plastic cover and above the white plastic base tray there is a metal cover.

Remove this and then you can try and soak the water up from the base there.

After this is done, check the drain hose where it connects to house drain and make sure it is not clogged.

Then clean the mesh filter from inside and make sure it is not blocked.

Reconnect everything and plug it back, please let me know how it goes.

My machine is built in there is no white plastic cover, I will take a photo and attach to this email.

Yes, I know it is built in and have sent the instructions for built in appliance only.

There is grey plastic cover, remove that and then clean the base.
