The gap you need either side is minimum 20mm either side.

But the instruction manual suggests 2mm and I read that modern cookers may not need any gap as they are very well insulated ?

Sorry i ment to put about 2mm, Dont know why i put 20mm as thats a big gap.

There only needs to be enough gap either side to be able to slide the oven in and out of the gap as the ventallation is all done at the back.

Ok, thanks. I know unless in the manufacturer's manual, gas regulations do suggest 20mm on either side?
