JA: Is your Hoover oven gas or electric? How old is it?
Customer: electric and just over 5 years old
JA: How long has this been going on with your Hoover oven? What have you tried so far?
Customer: about 10 months. i had a hoover engineer out about 9 months ago who said the fan had stuck. I take the cover off the fan ,turn the fan assisted oven on and manually help start the fan spinning
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?

No problem

Sorry one more question, what error message comes up ?

Customer: replied 9 days ago.
ER06 when it overheats

Thank you.

Er06 is overheat protection error which indicates main motherboard temperature overheat.

Now for this error the first thing that should be checked is the oven temperature sensor (thermostat).

If thermostat is faulty fan will not run hence, the oven will overheat.

Are you willing to carry out replacement/repairs yourself ?

Customer: replied 9 days ago.
The fan will come on if I undo the cover and push it slightly with a screwdriver. I am willing to do repairs myself

OK, if you can remove the fan, clean it and then screw it back.

Then try again, if the error returns test the thermostat located next to the fan for continuity.

If it reads open circuit replace it.

Please let me know how it goes.

I hope this helps, please do not hesitate to ask any follow up questions.

I hope you enjoyed your experience with today.

Have a wonderful day.

Thank you.
