Hello, my machine is unable to spin. It can rinse and drain: ie water came come in and out. But it cannot spin, in any setting.
JA: What's the brand and model of your appliance? How old is it?
Customer: How can i get my linen out so it isn't damaged, by being stuck in there for so long. One second, i need to double check the brand and model.
JA: The Appliance Technician can help you find the model number; I'll connect you shortly. How long has this been going on? What have you tried so far?
Customer: hi so im not sure what u mean by brand , it is a Zanussi machine, it has this number by the start button: ZWNB 6140L
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: Its def more than 4yrs old, i rent and the machine has been here since i moved in

I have tried switching it off then on and setting it to rinse, spin and drain, and then pressing the start button down to reset it to new mode. I know this worked, as in drain mode, the water would leave. But anytime a spin sequnce is required nothing happens, and after some time the start button will start flashing.

Good afternoon,

My name is ***** ***** I will assist you with your appliance today.

Customer: replied 8 days ago.
the start button will eventually start flashing, but i am not sure how long before its start to flash, as it take a while. At least longer than 15-20 min before it will start to flash.

btw do you give feedback on all brands or just zanussi products? And in your reply, in the event I cant fix this without professional help, if possible, please could you include how i can retrieve my current laundry from the machine. thanks!!

That is error code E52 which indicates a fault with motor circuit.

I am afraid either the motor and/or control is faulty and will need replacement.

Are you willing to carry on repairs yourself ?

Yes, I can provide assistance on all appliances.

You will have to select a drain only program then let it complete and then you can retrieve your current laundry.

Customer: replied 8 days ago.
I cant repair the moter, I will have to call my landlord to bring someone in. The drain wont complete as it cannot spin. so i cannot retrive them with teh drain. Is there another way to get the door open?
Customer: replied 8 days ago.
But this is great, as i can indicate to him exactly what the issue is, thanks!! i just really need to get my laundry out so it isnt ruined in the meantime.

Yes, unplug it and with the back of your fist give a good bang on the door handle and it will open.

Customer: replied 8 days ago.
haha really? i love it, okay one sec, let me try that and come back to you.

This VIDEO will give you an idea on how it is done.

Customer: replied 8 days ago.
thanks, ***** ***** it out, i did try but it didint work, but maybe the video will show me what i did wrong, also the banging seemed to move something cause it out it back on drain again, to try from the beginning, and it did one spin then stopped.

I understand, just FYI .. if the error code was E42 (4 red and 2 green flashes) then that is door lock fault.

I think that is why banging seemed to have worked.

Customer: replied 8 days ago.
oh this video is great thanks! one of these options is bound to work!

You're welcome and Good Luck.

I hope this helps, please do not hesitate to ask any follow up questions.

I hope you enjoyed your experience with today.

Have a wonderful day.

Thank you.

oh i see, but its still not spinning though, it was just one spin. I do think its the motor because it wasnt able to complete any kind of cycle i selected as it wasnt spinning. The door refusing to open i assumed was because it was "mid cycle" Thank you for everything you have been a great help!

Ah okay.

I am glad, I could help.

You're welcome and Good Luck.
