JA: Have you tried resetting your AEG oven by unplugging it for 60 seconds then plugging it back in? How old is it?
Customer: I think 8 years old
JA: How long has this been going on with your AEG oven? What have you tried so far?
Customer: oven was working fine. Set it forPyrolytic cleaning all going ok for approx 20 mins
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: the panel then Showed F1 and the lock symbol for a few mins and then disappeared . The Pyrolytic clean has stopped , the fan is still going and the door is locked

Good afternoon,

My name is ***** ***** I will assist you with your appliance today.

I am sorry to hear you are having trouble with your appliance.

I understand how frustrating that can be.

To help me better assist you, please provide its complete model number and/or PNC number (starts with 9... )

The pnc number is ***** the inside rim of the oven and the door is looked . The model is Competence B8871-4

The fan has now stopped however the door is still locked

Thank you.

During Pyrolytic clean oven generates extensive heat and the door is locked however, if there is some issue it gets stuck and door gets locked.

You will have to leave it completely unplugged for few hours, let it cool down and door will open.

If the error code was F1 then that indicates door lock fault.

I don’t have a clue where where the plug is or even the switch to turn it off

I understand, the other option is leave it like this with ventilation in your room and it should open by tomorrow morning.

Once it opens inspect the door lock as that is faulty and will need replacement.

I hope this helps, please do not hesitate to ask any follow up questions.

I hope you enjoyed your experience with justanswer.co.uk today.

Have a wonderful day.

Thank you.
