This answer was rated:

Kevin helped me with a Bosch dishwasher- would he also be able to help with a Beko Dsfn 15344s dishwasher?

Good afternoon,

As you know my name is Kevin :) and I will assist you with your appliance today.

I am sorry to hear you are having trouble with your Beko dishwasher as well.

I understand how frustrating that can be.

Please tell me what is the issue with your Beko ?

It does not take in water

OK, so you plug it in and close the door but it won't start at all ?

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
It started or at least sounds like it has but on opening it there is no water in it

Sorry, I am not available for phone calls however, I am happy to help via chat.

If someone else is available for calls, they will call you.

OK, when the dishwasher starts it first tries to drain any left over water from previous program.

If control detects it has not drained the pump keeps on running hence, it won't fill.

Please try this:

You will have to unplug the appliance and pull it out, then tip it backwards by around 45 degrees so excess water drains off completely.

After you have done this, check the drain hose where it connects to house drain and make sure it is not clogged.

Then please clean the mesh filter from inside and make sure it is not blocked.

Now, reconnect everything and plug it back; select any program.

It should work however, if the problem is not resolved then I am afraid water inlet valve is faulty and will need replacement.

I hope this helps, please do not hesitate to ask any follow up questions.

I hope you enjoyed your experience with justanswer.co.uk today.

Have a wonderful day.

Thank you.

All empty now but it didn’t fill

Please clean the inlet hose and inlet valve, then try again.

Where is the inlet valve
Customer: replied 1 month ago.
If I start to loosen the supply pipe with the supply still on it starts to leak so it is obviously getting to the machine

Yes, it may be getting to the appliance however, not going into it.

If you loosen the supply hose from the appliance that is where the inlet valve is located.

what do I do? To clean it!?
Customer: replied 1 month ago.
Have you got an image of it

You can remove the hose and you will see a small filter inside the valve.

Clean it or blow through it then reattach everything and see if that makes any difference.

I assume the filter is the thing I can turn but not pull out

Sure, please check this IMAGE (part#5710 towards the rear of appliance is the water inlet valve).

The part is available here for around £15 + repair charges.

Kevin sorry to bother you but how do I get the filter out
Customer: replied 1 month ago.
It turns readily and looks clean
Could it be a sensor inside the machine?

OK, if you have cleaned it then reconnect everything and plug it back.

Then try a empty wash program and let me know how it goes.

No it didn't do anything but I had difficulty moving the appliance such that it leaked water and it kept indicating that it was live despite it being turned off

Very impressed with Kevin's responses =5 star
BUT the online activity from the software leaves a lot to be desired

Thank you.

Leaking water from where ? The base of appliance ?
