I recently bought a Combination microwave. NN- CT57 JM.
JA: Who makes your microwave? How old is it?
Customer: Panasonic - brand new in April. Preheats at setting 220 on convection at 3.50 mins from cold. Actual use of convection require 1.75 X recommended time to cook food. Previous Panasonic combinations have worked well on convection at recommended times whilst taking about 10 mins to preheat. Could thermostat be haywire?
JA: How long has this been going on with your Panasonic microwave? What have you tried so far?
Customer: only recently started using convection - breaded frozen fish - recommended 28 mins at 180 - took 50 mins on 220 to get crisp breadcrumb topping. - part baked rolls - recommended 10 to 12 minutes took 20 mins to get baked top. Oven Chips - recommended 20 minutes took 40 mins to get crisp. Bought for me at beginning as a replacement for similar earlier model - always been very satisfied with Panasonic combination microwaves
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: No. it just seems to weird when both my daughter and my ex have very good Panasonic turntables combinations with accurate convection cooking to recommended heats and times. They both find approx ten mins preheat are needed to get stated heat level, as I did on my old machine.

Yes, this indicates a fault with thermostat.

When this is faulty your combination oven suffers from uneven cooking or will not heat at all.

As this is still under warranty, you will have to contact Panasonic and get it replaced/repaired immediately.
