My dyson keeps cutting out even when I have thoroughly cleaned it. No blockages in it?
JA: Do you know the model of your Dyson vacuum? How old is it?
Customer: I thought you might ask me that ! I can’t find the model but it’s a one suitable for animals, cordless and I bought it about 4 years ago. I can try and find the model if required
JA: How long has this been going on with your Dyson vacuum? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I had it looked at about a year ago and the guy said to make sure the contacts are kept free so I use a tooth brush on them
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: I don’t think so thanks. Shall I try and find the model number?

The only light it has is when it’s plugged in. The light doesn’t come on if I press for max

This indicates either the charger is faulty and/or battery will need replacement.

You may try this:

Please leave it unplugged for few minutes.

Then press and hold the ON button; whilst holding the ON button put the charger back on and let go the button after around 20 seconds.

See if it works, if the issue is still there, I am afraid the battery pack and/or charger will need replacement.

Usually the battery lasts for around 3-4 years.

You may contact Dyson at 0800(###) ###-####to order the part.

I had wondered if my cleaner had pressed the MAX button, which only gives about 5 mins run time but I can never tell if MAX is on!!
