My Neff induction hob has intermittent fault E153, any ideas?
JA: What happened just before your Neff hob displayed this message?
Customer: I had just activated the circular magnetic switch and put pan on the hob
JA: How long has this been going on with your Neff hob? What have you tried so far?
Customer: On and off since April
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: Ok, it's usually the areas to the left of the hob, cant think of anything else

This error indicates a communication fault between the power board and PC board on the left side.

Yes, sorry pulling its schematics and then checking took a bit of time.

Are you willing to carry out replacement yourself ?

OK, I understand.

Please leave it unplugged for around 1 hour.

Then press and hold first button on left and extreme right buttons together.

Keep them held in and then plug it back, let go off these buttons after around 15 seconds.

Then turn it on turn it back off then turn it back on and see if this will reset the appliance.

However, if the error is still there then I am afraid you will have to contact Neff to book repair.

Thank you but it looks like I will need to be a contortionist to keep the two buttons held down whilst I switch it back on again via the cooker point. And I'm unsure what buttons you are referring to as my hob is operated by a twist knob. Help!

Thank you for your kind comments however, I am afraid that is how the reset is done, you may take help from someone and ask them to hold down those buttons.

By two buttons I mean the main switch on the left and TIMER button on the right.
