Its telling me that it costs me £16 to speak to you

I think you've received an automated message about the phone call service.  It's just an offer - you don't have to accept it.  You can continue here for no more than the original fee that you paid.

OK I see the photo. This does appear to be a defect with the display.

What is the model of your hob, and what was the purchase date?

Customer: replied 12 days ago.
Did you get the picture?
Expert:  Tim JA replied 12 days ago.

Did you request a phone call?

Expert:  Tim JA replied 12 days ago.

I suggest that you don't answer the phone if you don't recognise the calling number.

Model no INDH61BL. Yes it’s a defect in display the hob is still working but difficult to see what no it is. We bought it inJan this year
Expert:  Tim JA replied 12 days ago.

OK. So being more than six months old it's not a practical proposition to claim from the retailer, but probably you can still claim under the manufacturer's warranty.

Please see the terms and conditions of the warranty, on the following page:

https://www.shipitappliances.com/warranty/

If you qualify, then call the contact centre on 01623 625 658 to start the process of getting it repaired.
