The hob on my cooker is not working, the code Er22 flashes all the time can you please tell me what that means in terms of the fault that has occurred

Customer: Electric it’s 5or6 years old

Er22 is communication fault between the main control board and touch control board.

Please leave it completely unplugged for around 4 hours.

While it is unplugged, clean and wipe the surface and take a hair dryer blow on it from safe distance.

Then clean it again and plug it back after 4 hours.

This should solve the problem however, if the issue is still there then you will have to replace the touch control.
