Customer: replied 11 days ago.
are you still there
Expert:  KevinWhiteJA replied 11 days ago.

OK, please try this:

You will have to unplug it and then remove the top off the appliance.

Expert:  KevinWhiteJA replied 11 days ago.

If you don’t mind, please allow me a few minutes to check its schematics and then type the answer.

the top has been removed
Expert:  KevinWhiteJA replied 11 days ago.

You will have to unplug and pull it out.

Then remove the top off the appliance.

Then check if belt is intact.

If belt appears fine then plug it back and select a program.

If the drum will not rotate then keep your hands off electric and give it a bit of push.

If the drum starts working then I am afraid the capacitor is faulty and will need replacement.

However, if it won't then motor is faulty and will need replacement.

Customer: replied 11 days ago.
manually turned the drum, belt in good order, turned it on, selescted a program, activated programme, drum moving perfectly, turned off and on, drum still turning, you must be a genius

:) Glad it is working however, the problem may likely return as the motor capacitor is faulty and will need replacement.

The part is available here on Indesit spares for £11.

Please let me know if you need me to clarify anything or if you have any additional questions-I am happy to help!

I hope you enjoyed your experience with Justanswer UK today.

Have a wonderful day.

Thank you.
