I have just moved into a new property with a Siemens

Customer Question

I have just moved into a new property with a Siemens dishwasher. The dishwasher smells sour from old water sitting. Any advice on how to resolve this?
JA: Do you know the model of your Siemens dishwasher?
Customer: The number on top embossed in the machine reads se64e330gb/22
JA: How long has this been going on with your Siemens dishwasher? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Since we moved in 3 weeks ago. Added salt is all that I’ve tried.
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: It gets smellier the longer the door remains closed. Something is rotting I feel.

I don’t see a label apart from the embossed code of SE64E330GB/22. Does that help?

Thank you.

Please try this to solve the issue:

You will have to unplug the appliance and pull it out, then tip it backwards by around 45 degrees so excess water drains off completely.

After you have done this, check the drain hose where it connects to house drain and make sure it is not clogged.

Then please clean the mesh filter from inside and make sure it is not blocked.

Now, reconnect everything and plug it back; then place a bowl of vinegar inside.

Then select any program on its hottest setting.

It should work however, if the problem occurs again you will have to check what is causing the leak.

Please do not hesitate to ask any follow up questions.

I hope you enjoyed your experience with today.

Have a wonderful day.

Thank you.
