Turning on the units after a 2 month spell ,they are showing

Turning on the units after a 2 month spell ,they are showing fault E7.
JA: Who makes your appliance?
Customer: Turning on the units after a 2 month spell, there is no warm air and their showing a fault ,E7!
JA: How long has this been going on? What have you tried so far?
Customer: 5 days, switched off the power ,waited, then turned it back on, cold air is fine , but as soon as I try warm air, the fault reappears.
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: No other explanation, the 3rd unit we have is fine

E7 fault in your Haier is indoor unit- outdoor unit signal transmission error and/or Faulty PCB.

It seems the outdoor PCB needs cleaning, you will have to get them serviced so can you use them again.

Can they be serviced, the Engineer, tells me new boards are needed even though he has not dismantled the Unit!Is this correct?

You may try to service the outdoor units first, if that works then no need to replace the boards.

However, if the issue is still there then yes PCB will need replacement.

How is a service carried out?As they are electrical units, what expertise is needed?Is it just damp in which case , will something such as WD40, or some such thing work?

The units have to be cleaned, you may check various videos available online on how these outdoor and indoor units are cleaned.
