So, what exactly is the problem that you are facing with your appliance ?

Customer: replied 9 days ago.
Thank you. The washing machine stops mid cycle, between 22 and 32 minutes on the mixed setting. We've tried other settings and the same thing happens.
Customer: replied 9 days ago.
We complete the cycle by turning it off and on at the mains and doing a drain and spin
Expert:  KevinWhiteJA replied 9 days ago.

OK and have you seen any errors or flashing lights etc. ?

Customer: replied 9 days ago.
No
Expert:  KevinWhiteJA replied 9 days ago.

Have you tried a cold wash only program ?

Customer: replied 9 days ago.
We can't see that on the dial. We have done a maintenance wash.
Expert:  KevinWhiteJA replied 9 days ago.

You can change the temperature from temperature selection button.

If it works on cold wash only program then this indicates a heating fault with your appliance.

Customer: replied 9 days ago.
What would be the solution to a heating fault?
Expert:  KevinWhiteJA replied 9 days ago.

The heating element and/or NTC sensor (thermostat) is faulty and will need replacement.

As it works on drain/spin and will finish the program the motor seems to be working fine.

Are you willing to carry out replacement yourself, if instructions are provided ?

Customer: replied 9 days ago.
I'm trying it on a cold wash now to make sure
Expert:  KevinWhiteJA replied 9 days ago.

OK Perfect however, if it stops again on cold wash then it is the control that is faulty.

If you want to repair it yourself then you will have to unplug the appliance and pull it out.

Then remove the back off the appliance and check the heating element, if it tests fine then test the NTC sensor with a multi-meter.

If both of them test fine then you will have to replace the control.

Please let me know if you need me to clarify anything or if you have any additional questions-I am happy to help!

I hope you enjoyed your experience with Justanswer UK today.

Have a wonderful day.

Thank you. How do I check the heating element? What should I look for?
Expert:  KevinWhiteJA replied 9 days ago.

You should check it for open circuit, if you get a reading of around 30 ohms then the element is fine.

Customer: replied 9 days ago.
Thank you. How would I replace the control?
Expert:  KevinWhiteJA replied 9 days ago.

You will have to unplug it and pull it out.

Then remove the top off the appliance and then you can replace the control.

However, please try this as well before you replace the control:

You will have to unplug the appliance and pull it out.

Then remove the top off the appliance and locate the pressure switch with thin hose attached to it.

Now, remove this hose and blow through it, make sure it is not clogged.

Then with the top off the appliance, locate the hoses going into dispenser and clean them completely.

Also clean the hose that goes from dispenser to the drum, make sure it is not clogged.

Then try an empty program on its hottest setting.

If the issue appears again replace the control board.
