I've got an AEG oven. It's recently started not turning off

Hi, I've got an AEG oven. It's recently started not turning off and staying incredibly hot. The only way to turn it off is at the mains.
JA: Is your AEG oven gas or electric? How old is it?

I am afraid, this indicates an issue with the oven temperature sensor (thermostat) that is faulty and will need replacement.

When this is faulty oven suffers from uneven cooking or will not heat at all.

Please try this to solve the issue:

You will have to leave the appliance completely unplugged for around 1 hour.

Then plug it back and reset the clock, it should work.

However, if the issue appears again then I am afraid, the thermostat is faulty and will need replacement.
