Hi, I've got an AEG oven. It's recently started not turning off and staying incredibly hot. The only way to turn it off is at the mains.
JA: Is your AEG oven gas or electric? How old is it?
Customer: Electric. >5 years.
JA: How long has this been going on with your AEG oven? What have you tried so far?
Customer: about a week. I haven't tried anything as yet.
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?

Are you going to call me to take me through how to solve it?

I just need to get the issue resolved. I was given the option of paying £16 for you to call me and clicked for that to happen.

Please understand this is not an immediate service as we are not always available here. Moreover, we have to check the schematics before we can provide you with an accurate answer. However, I will now try to respond as soon as I can. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

When do you think you'll be able to get back to me? Also, have I paid anything for this so far?

I am afraid, this indicates an issue with the oven temperature sensor (thermostat) that is faulty and will need replacement.

When this is faulty oven suffers from uneven cooking or will not heat at all.

Please try this to solve the issue:

You will have to leave the appliance completely unplugged for around 1 hour.

Then plug it back and reset the clock, it should work.

However, if the issue appears again then I am afraid, the thermostat is faulty and will need replacement.

Please let me know if you need me to clarify anything or if you have any additional questions-I am happy to help!

I hope you enjoyed your experience with Justanswer UK today.

Have a wonderful day.
