My hot point 540P will not do a final rinse….
JA: Who makes your appliance? How old is it?
Customer: Hotpoint, WML 540P, BOUGHT JUNE 2011
JA: How long has this been going on with your Hotpoint appliance? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Since yesterday 19th Nov, looked in my service book
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: That’s all really. I can get it to go to the cycle end and open the door, but the washed thing are soaking

Without the information requested in my previous response, I can only give you a general answer, but I hope this helps.

This indicates the drain is clogged or the motor is faulty. However, please try this to solve the issue:

You will have to unplug the appliance and remove the bottom front flap.
Then keep some beach towels and shallow container under the filter.
Now, rotate the drain pump filter anti clockwise to open, clean it completely and make sure it is not clogged.
Also with your fingers check if impellor rotates, then reconnect everything and plug it back.
It should work.
