Good afternoon,

You have reached Justanswer UK, an independent paid question and answer platform that matches experts in various skills to customers.

My name is ***** ***** I will assist you today.

I am sorry to hear you are having trouble with your appliance.

I understand how frustrating that can be.

Please provide its complete model number (from the label/rating plate located inside the door).

Good afternoon,
Without the information requested in my previous response, I can only give you a general answer, but I hope this helps.

This indicates the drain is clogged. Please try this to solve the issue:
You will have to unplug the appliance and remove the bottom front flap.
Then keep some beach towels and shallow container under the filter.
Now, rotate the drain pump filter anti clockwise to open, clean it completely and make sure it is not clogged.
Also with your fingers check if impellor rotates, then reconnect everything and plug it back.

Please let me know if you need me to clarify anything or if you have any additional questions-I am happy to help!
I hope you enjoyed your experience with Justanswer UK today.
Have a wonderful day.

Model is zanussi ZWG 1121P. There is no flap at bottom of machine. Also the start light is flashing green.

OK, let's see if we can get an error code.

Please try this:

Press and hold the START button and button towards the left of it together.

Keep them held in and after a few seconds you will see E.. ??

Please let me know the error code.

But there is no display on this model

OK, what is the PNC number.

If there is no display then please try this:

Press and hold the START button and button towards the left of it together.

Keep them held in and after a few seconds you will see lights will flash.

Then count the number of RED flashes and then count the number of Green flashes and let me know how many.

5 red 2 green

Thank you.

That is motor circuit fault which indicates the motor and/or control board is faulty and will need replacement.

Are you willing to carry out replacement yourself if instructions are provided ?

Customer: replied 5 days ago.
can do

Perfect, to replace it yourself you will have to unplug it and then pull it out.

Then remove the top and back off the appliance, then check the motor and see if tacho generator is intact.

If that is fine then I am afraid, the motor will need replacement.

Alternatively, you may contact Zanussi to book fixed price repair.

OK any ideas how I can empty the drum of water in the meantime

You can select a drain program and see how it goes.

If it gets stuck then unplug the appliance and remove the drain hose from house drain.

Then place it in a bucket and select drain again, it should work.
