Hi. I have a 6 year old Biko tumble dryer which works perfectly but when It finishes the cycle it trips my electricity so it’s obviously shorting the circuit. Any idea what’s causing this please?

Good afternoon,

You have reached Justanswer UK, an independent paid question and answer platform that matches experts in various skills to customers.

My name is ***** ***** I will assist you today.

I am sorry to hear you are having trouble with your appliance.

I understand how frustrating that can be.

So, it completes selected program and then trips or does it trip in middle of program ?

Customer: replied 14 days ago.
Hi Kevin. It’s usually at the end of the programme.

I can’t see the point in a phone call as I’ve tried everything possible with replacing whatever it causing the problem. Do you have any idea which part is causing the problem. Heating pump for example?

I understand, I am afraid this indicates either the heating element or the control board is faulty and will need replacement.

The automated phone call message is optional and premium service.

Sorry, I am not available for phone calls, and I am happy to help this way.

However, if you opt for phone call then another expert will call you based on their availability.

Is this a costly repair and worth doing or will I scrap and buy a new machine? Thanks

The heating element costs £53 and control board costs £51 + repair charges.

Are you willing to carry out replacement yourself ?

Customer: replied 14 days ago.
No I’m an female OAP and although I do a lot of DIY I wouldn’t tackle this job. What is the approx call out charge?

I understand, you may contact Beko at 0330(###) ###-####to book repair.

It will cost another £80-£90 however, you can contact Beko and check if they can provide some kind of repair plan to you.

Please let me know if you need me to clarify anything or if you have any additional questions-I am happy to help!

I hope you enjoyed your experience with Justanswer UK today.

Have a wonderful day.
