OK Andrew, we are here in the kitchen.

I
have investigated the information you have provided, and it sounds like you
have a query relating to a oven that fails to heat. I have found an oven
that won't heat is usually the result of a faulty igniter (for a gas
oven) or heating element (for an electric oven). I would suggest it will be
possible to replace the heating element, however, it will need someone with
more experience to complete the replacement. I would recommend you
consult a local Appliance Engineer who will be able to book in a visit and and
take care of this for you. If you are unsure who to contact, I would recommend
yell.com where you will find a list of local professionals.

Hi Andrew, got your reply. I have removed the heating element which actually reads OK on continuity test. Distributor fan rotates easily, so there must be some other problem. Getting very close to ordering new oven, ouch, we are only pensioners. Going to have to cancel membership and start saving up. Thanks for your help.
