I'm getting Error Message F05 - I've tried turning off & back on, but it still persists. This is a brand new machine & it's 1st use!
JA: What's the brand and model of your appliance? How old is it?
Customer: Hotpoint Digital Technology Washer Dryer - installed this morning
JA: How long has this been going on with your Hotpoint washer-dryer? What have you tried so far?
Customer: As I said it's a brand new machine just installed - instructions are to turn off wait 1 min & restart. I've tried this twice.
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?

I am sorry to hear you are having trouble with your Hotpoint washer dryer.

F05 is drain fault in this appliance, if it was professionally installed then I am afraid, the drain is clogged and you will have to clean it.

Please try this to solve the issue:

You will have to unplug the appliance and remove the bottom front flap.

Then keep some beach towels and shallow container under the filter.

Now, rotate the drain pump filter anti clockwise to open, clean it completely and make sure it is not clogged.

Also with your fingers check if impellor rotates, then reconnect everything and plug it back.

Then try any program and problem should be solved.

Yes, I have read it earlier and as I have written earlier, if this was professionally installed and if the drain hose is correctly installed then F05 indicates drain fault.

After you have checked the filter and the issue is still there, you will have to contact the dealer from where you bought this appliance and get it replaced.
