My Neff hob has power (I press the "Bell" symbol and a timer

hi - My Neff hob has power (I press the "Bell" symbol and a timer comes up but the hob wont switch on using the power button
JA: Is your Neff hob gas or electric? How old is it?
Customer: Ceramic - probably 4y
JA: How long has this been going on with your Neff hob? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Just started to day. I have tried to turn it off at the mains (It is hard wired) and turning on after 30mins but to no avail t59ft50x0

ok so after 4 seconds the lock key lights up - if I continue to hold i get a two tone sound and the heat dial (0-9) flash but they disappear when I let go

If you press and hold the BELL button for 4 seconds, the Key symbol disappears ?

If I press and hold the bell, the key symbol illuminates after 4 seconds as expected. If i let go, the key stays on. If i press and hold the key for 10 seconds, the key comes on after 4 seconds as above. After another 6 seconds the key and heat (0-9) all flash until I release the bell button

I have the user manual already

Then follow the instructions given on page#21 and page#22 to access Basic settings.

From basic settings, reset the hob to factory default.

Yea but in order to access basic settings i need to turn the hob on. Which as I have said, I can’t do

The hob must be off.

OK, If still it won't work then I am afraid, the PC board is faulty and will need replacement.

There are three power boards, two PC boards and one operating module.

The operating module (touch control) is fine however, I believe one of the PC board is faulty and will need replacement.

You may try this before replacement:

Please leave the hob completely unplugged for around 4 hours.

Then press and hold the START button and TIMER button on the hob together.

Keep them held in, and ask someone to plug it back.

Then wait for another 10 seconds and let go off these buttons, this should reset the control.

No problem.

However, after all this, if the issue is still there, you will have to replace the PC Board.

Alternatively, you may call Neff at 03448 928 989 to book repair.
